President's Message

Shawonda S. Swain

Dear Supporters, Volunteers, and Community Members,

As we turn the page on another year, we take a moment to reflect on our accomplishments and reaffirm our commitment to building a stronger, more resilient Middlesex County. At Middlesex United Way, we believe United is the Way to create lasting change.

This past year has been one of growth and renewal. We closed the year in the black, strengthened systems across our departments and Board, and forged meaningful relationships in nearly every one of the 15 towns we serve. By partnering with local organizations and supporting community events, we’ve deepened our roots and amplified our impact.

We proudly rolled out a bold new three-year strategic plan, reignited the energy of our Women United group, and expanded the scope of our support to include new agencies in our network. This has allowed us to increase our contributions to the community, ensuring more individuals and families have access to the resources they need to thrive.

As an organization, we are moving onward and upward. But we know the challenges we face as a society require us to stand together. In times of uncertainty and change whether for better or worse it is our unity that will lead us forward.

This is why Middlesex United Way continues to weave itself into the fabric of the communities we serve. Together with residents, local agencies, and dedicated partners, we are lifting our most vulnerable neighbors and building a future where everyone can succeed.

Thank you for your unwavering support, generosity, and belief in the power of unity. Together, we can ensure that brighter days lie ahead for all. Because when we stand united, anything is possible.

United is the Way.
