Old Saybrook Cares Application

OLD SAYBROOK CARES (COMMITTEE FOR ACTIVE RECOVERY EFFORTS) IS AN AD-HOC TOWN COMMITTEE FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING AN DISTRIBUTING FUNDS TO OLD SAYBROOK FAMILIES STRUGGLING TO AFFORD BASIC NEEDS (HOUSING, FOOD, CHILDCARE, UTILITIES, AND TRANSPORTATION) DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC.

GRANT CRITERIA:

  • Applicant  must  be  a  resident  of  Old  Saybrook,  CT.

  • Funds  are  to  be  used  for  basic  needs  (food,  housing,  utilities,  food,  and  transportation costs)  related  to  job  layoffs  and/or  unemployment  due  to  COVID-19.

  • Applicant  may  request  up  to  $1,500.

  • Only  one  grant  will  be  awarded  per  household.

  • Requests  will  be  reviewed  by  the  CARES  Committee  and  the  first  grants  will  be  awarded  no  later  than  Friday,  August  14,  2020.
